When I was a little girl and would get scared I would go to the basement where my parents slept. They always watched TV as they fell asleep, so it would always be on all night.
I knew better than to wake them up telling them I couldn't sleep, so I would sit next to my mom's side of the bed (not on the bed because it was a water bed and they would have woken up!) and watched whatever was on TV. Well two times in the history of my doing this, it would be something VERY terrifying.
Not until years later (just 2 and a half years ago to be exact) did I find out what one of the shows was. Star Trek II: Wrath of Khan. I was bored up until this part:
I practically ran to my bedroom after this scene. My ears hurt and I had dreams that bugs were crawling inside my head and eating my brains out!! Very scary for a little girl 8 years old!
I randomly remembered this just now because the inside of my ear itched. Even now as an adult I am putting those two things together! Ears = Worms inside!
Just a random story from my childhood!
